  • About

Big Paws Canine Foundation is an IRS 501(c)3 Non-Profit operated entirely by Non-paid Volunteers to provide and train Service Dogs for Disabled Veterans and former First Responders injured in the line of duty.

All donations go towards the training, veterinary care and equipment for the dogs so that they can be provided for only $1.00, not $25-50,000 like other organizations.

Big Paws Canine has been in operation for over 5 years and has 3 locations (Southern California, Sioux Falls, and South Carolina). We commit to the life-long learning process of the Handler as well as the Service Dog constantly reassessing the skills needed to assist with daily activities.

All of our Service Dogs go through a stringent training program before being granted certification by Big Paws Canine. These dogs are mainly used for PTSD issues like anxiety, depression and fear of crowds, as well as providing mobility and stability to those with difficulty walking and standing. Our Service Dogs are trained to the highest standard and we have been commended in the news, by TSA/Airlines, as well as requested to provide training assistance to the local police departments.
