Party Favor Band will perform live at the Apache Pier, located at 9700 Kings Road, Myrtle Beach, on Friday, May 24, from 8:00-11:00p.m. The show will kick off a 15 week series of performances to be held every Friday night now through Labor Day weekend except 5/31 and 8/23. Designed to appeal to families and music lovers of all ages, the Party Favor Band show is a mix of musical genres, from beach music and shag favorites to the dance favorites of the 80s, 90s and today.
 
“We’re extremely excited about going back to the pier this season,” said Carleton Whilden, drummer/vocals for Party Favor Band. “There’s a real energy at the pier that can’t be explained and we’ve seen folks from 7 to 77 enjoying the music, dancing and singing along to their favorites. Music ignites something in people and when you see someone light up when they hear the lyrics of an old favorite, it’s a pretty cool thing.”
 
Party Favor Band, a local’s favorite along the Grand Strand is made up of five local musicians who came together as a band in 2009. Janet Whilden (lead vocals), Mark Beasley (lead guitar), Chuck Rudy (bass guitar), Rich Rinaldi (vocals/keyboards) and Carleton Whilden (vocals/drums) only take each other as seriously as deemed necessary to create a highly interactive show from the time they take the stage to the time they say goodnight.
 
“We love what we do, and it shows,” continues Whilden. “It’s rare that a group comes together to have as much fun with the crowd as we do. We keep the party going, even during our breaks, so a good night of dancing and celebration never has to stop.”

Party Favor Band offers DJ services during the breaks. They also bring to the show a state-of-the-art sound system and sound engineer, as well as event lighting. Party Favor Band is available for weddings and all special events including corporate functions, community festivals, and birthday bashes.
