Maria Knapik will present a program about artificial reefs at the Museum of Coastal Carolina’s Sand Bar Café at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, August 20, 2013. Ms. Knapik is the Education Coordinator at the Museum. The Sand Bar Café is co-sponsored by OIB Surf & Java.
Ms. Knapik will discuss the purpose of artificial reefs and why they so important. She will talk about the various materials used in the construction of artificial reefs and tell you where they are located off the Carolina coast.
The Museum of Coastal Carolina is located at 21 East Second Street in Ocean Isle Beach, NC. Admission is free for Museum and Dual members. Non-member all-day admission is $8 for adults (13-61), $7 for seniors (62+), $6 for children (3-12), and free for ages 2 and under.
