Description
Leo Macon will be working at his forge outside of the Museum of Coastal Carolina. Mr. Macon will demonstrate fire and hammer blacksmithing by making and giving away some small items. All of Mr. Macon’s equipment and tools are of the type used in the late 1800’s. He will be happy to answer questions from visitors.
Leo Macon got interested in blackmithing while participating in Civil War re-enactments. He has been working his forge for about 5 years. He moved to this area in 1984 when his army career was over. He currently works for Brunswick County Public Utilities.
