Horry County Government receives $10.7 million for Emergency Rental Assistance

Conway, South Carolina (February 1, 2021)—Horry County Government received $10.7 million from the U.S. Department of the Treasury for emergency rental assistance in Horry County. This funding is in addition to the annual HUD funding for emergency housing assistance. Using these new funds, Horry County will expand current programming, and details on the launch of those initiatives will be announced in the near future.

Director of Community Development Courtney Frappaolo said, “This additional funding will give us the opportunity to expand programming and help more people. We know this is still a difficult time for many people and we will continue to work to help meet the needs here in our community.”
