Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau and the Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC)
On Thursday, August 27, 2015, the FCC Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau and Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau will host a workshop to promote the wider use and increased accessibility of the Emergency Alert System (EAS).
As part of the FCC continuing commitment to ensure that emergency alert systems (EAS) and warning systems are effective and available to all Americans, the workshop will explore two key issues:

The workshop will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Commission Meeting Room at FCC Headquarters, located at 445 12th Street SW, Washington, DC 20554. Sign language interpreters, open captioning and assistive listening devices will be provided on site. Other reasonable accommodations for people with disabilities are available upon request. Last minute requests will be accepted, but may be impossible to fulfill.
