Family Foot Screenings – Wednesday, July 31, 2:00 p.m., NMB Aquatic and Fitness Center
Whether you have foot pain, fallen arches, hammer toe, or simply a child that walks on their tip toes, bring in the whole family for foot screenings! Dr. Jordanna Baker, of Coastal Podiatry Associates, will screen the families of all ages for possible foot ailments and will discuss treatments. Registration is required.

Safe Sitter
School is almost out and plans are being finalized for the next Safe Sitter courses
scheduled for this summer. Call today to reserve a spot for your teen! Safe Sitter is a
national babysitting course for students ages 11-13. Boys and girls are instructed on how
to become a nurturing sitter and respond to medical emergencies. Students will learn
behavioral management, CPR & First Aid, child care essentials and much more! Please

Balance Screenings
Anyone suffering from vertigo (dizziness) or those with a history of falls may benefit
from a balance screening. Balance screenings will be performed by a McLeod Seacoast
physical therapist that can provide information about physical therapy and ways it can
help in the treatment of various balance conditions. Space is limited. Registration is
required.

Dietician and Diabetes Educator to learn how to shop for your groceries wisely.
Discover what foods and beverages to avoid and how to eat well-balanced meals. Walkins

While car accidents are still the leading cause of death among children, reports of
children dying as a result of extreme heat exposure after being left unattended in a locked
vehicle are on the rise. Join Ashley Costas, Injury Prevention Specialist with McLeod
Safe Kids Pee Dee Coastal, to learn proper car seat installation techniques, child vehicle
safety and much more.

Diabetes Support Group: Managing Diabetic Sick Days
Diabetic patients should plan in advance for sick days. Christie Hardee, Certified
Diabetes Educator at McLeod Loris Seacoast, will discuss the things you should have
prepared in case of a diabetic illness and what to expect.
