Born out of a friendship with several Skynyrd members\, Second Helping was formed at a Lynyrd Skynyrd rehearsal in 1988. Many of the original players worked with them on specific parts most notably guitar greats Ed King and Randall Hall with two Second Helping members even performing in Hall's own band.
