An official ribbon-cutting ceremony in partnership with North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce and Little River Chamber of Commerce will take place\n\nat 9:30am.\n\n\n\nSince 1996\, the Habitat for Humanity of Horry County ReStore has served the Myrtle Beach and Socastee areas of Horry County through their first location. In the last fiscal year\, the current store kept 2\,300 tons of materials out of local landfills and helped to fund the construction of numerous\n\nHabitat homes.\n\n\n\nAccording to Habitat for Humanity (habitat.org)\, when the first ReStore opened in 1991\, "their vision was clear: keep new and used home and building materials out of the waste stream while helping fund Habitat's home-\, hope- and community-building work. Customers came from all over to find\n\ndeals on windows\, doors\, paint\, hardware\, tools\, furniture\, appliances and decor to spruce up their own homes while helping others build and secure theirs .The are close to 900 ReStore locations in 49 states of the US\, all contributing to Habitat's vision of a world where everyone has a decent\n\nplace to live.
