DESCRIPTION:Join us for our 19th annual Family Day at the Museum of Coastal Carolina from 10:00 to 2:00 on Saturday\, March 30\, 2013.  Channel your inner Bob Marley and enjoy the music of Vince Stout from the band Sea Pans. Sea Pans is a dynamic steel drum ensemble that plays a variety of Caribbean music   soca\, calypso\, bossa nova\, samba\, Latin\, jazz\, reggae\, and ska   in addition to energetic pop tunes that are infused with an island sound. Vince's music is guaranteed to get your feet tapping and put you in the mood for the coming summer season.\n\nFamily Day also features free and low-cost activities for the entire family. Make a shell or shark tooth necklace\, a sea bottle\, or a fish mask. Get a temporary tattoo. Pan for gold. Buy some pre-owned books. Snack on hot dogs\, chips\, and soda from Castaway Grill\, sip a delicious Sunset Slush\, or munch on freshly made popcorn. Talk to representatives from the Ocean Isle Beach Police Department\, Fire Department\, and Sea Turtle Protection Organization. Don't forget to tour the Museum   admission is free on Family Day! \n\n\n\nThis year\, volunteers from Ingram Planetarium and the Museum of Coastal Carolina are selling 8 to 10 pound Boston butts for $25 each. Proceeds from the sale will benefit both facilities. Pre-order your Boston butt by calling the Museum (910-579-1016) or Planetarium (910-575-0033) or by emailing oiblisa@aol.com. In your email\, include your name\, telephone number\, and number of Boston butts you would like to order. Pick up your fully-cooked Boston butt at the Museum on Family Day.\n\n\n\nWe will also be collecting donations of non-perishable food for the SBIC Food Bank.
