DESCRIPTION:Due to Hurricane Mathew\, the Little River Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center Board of Directors is forced to cancel the Little River ShrimpFest scheduled for this weekend\, October 8-9\, 2016.  The storm will bring wind\, rain\, storm surge and possible flooding.\n\nAnnouncing the cancellation\, Executive Director\, Little River Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center\, Jennifer Walters regrets having to make this decision but our first and foremost goal is the public's safety.  "The decision to cancel did not come easily but the Governor has declared South Carolina a state of emergency and issued coastal evacuation orders.  We want to express our gratitude to the community and sponsors for embracing the Little River ShrimpFest and thank everyone who committed to participate this year."\n\nPlease be safe in your preparation for this storm.
