The Little River Chamber of Commerce & Visitor's Center is seeking volunteers to help staff the Little River ShrimpFest to be held Oct. 13 and 14, 2018. There is no charge to volunteer, and scheduled volunteers will receive a free festival t-shirt, free admission the day they're working, an additional admission ticket, and a provided lunch the day of their shift.
“The Festival is a success because of our volunteers,” said Jennifer Walters, President/CEO of the chamber. The festivals in Little River rely on volunteers to assist with manning the front gate as well as souvenir and beverage sales. In total, about 150 volunteers are needed to run the festival. We are seeking volunteers from our wonderful community that can commit to a 3-hour shift during festival hours (9 a.m. - 6 p.m.) by the end of August. Volunteers should expect to be standing and/or moving the entire shift. Families and organizations are welcome to apply as a group.
Interested volunteers can apply online at Registrants will be directly called in August to schedule shifts.
